Just Like You

She wants to be just like you,
Just as smart and pretty too.
But she doesn't know what you do,
You won't even tell her if it is true.
She is so young and so nice,
She even thinks about things twice.
But now that she is looking up to you,
She wants to do all the things you do.
So when the next time you are thinking of
purging,
Think of what your little sister is doing.
For you never know what she might do,
Now that she has you to look up to.

from Anorexia. Recovered for almost 10 years. In May will
be her 10 year of being out of the hospital. She still sees
a therapist as it helps her still to this day. She was going
to become a Counselor but because of the visual demands can
no longer keep up in class but she is thinking of going into
Cheerleading coaching.
Her sister Libby has helped Ashley through her
struggles and still does to this day and Ashley does the same
thing for her right now as Libby is sick (but is not struggling
with an eating disorder).
Ashley is also a member of the 'Healing Circle
of Friends', a supportive message board and safe place
for anyone struggling with eating disorders. For more information,
