To Destiny

Dear Destiny,
Hey little one! This is your mother Gwen writing
this to you. I want to share how you became a part of my life.
Nine months ago I was sexually assaulted. I have struggled
with Anorexia since I was like 15 years old. After the rape
I relapsed into Anorexia and I checked myself into the hospital.
That's how I found out that I was pregnant.
I decided to carry out the pregnancy though
I still wasn't sure what I was going to do. I now decide to
keep you little one. You have brought so much love into my
heart. I will always remember that. I never thought that a
horrible experience could bring so much good out of it. But
I now know that everything happens for a reason.
You have shown me that there's hope out there
in the world of recovery. I have all clothes and a crib for
you I can't wait 'till you ar here in my arms. You have brought
so much joy in my life. It's just so sad how you had to come
into my life but I will love you even more for that fact.
If it wasn't for you I am really not sure how my life would
be right at this point.
That's why I named you Destiny. Because recovery
is my Destiny. I can't wait to venture out into the world
as a wonderful mother of such a beautiful girl like you! I
promise I will never let you feel the same feelings as myself
I don't want to ever see you head down this very scary journey
of Anorexia.
